Known for his clarity, contagious energy and passion, Mr. Mahl has solidified his place as one of the most exciting conductors of his generation. Currently, he is the Music Director with the Ridgefield Symphony, Opera Acadia, Northport Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra at Third Street and Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra, as well as faculty/festival ensemble conductor at the Charles Ives Music Festival and principal guest conductor with the Geneva Light Opera Company.

Equally at home in symphonic concerts, opera productions, pops concerts, popular music and more, Maestro Mahl is looking forward to a 2025-26 season that includes engagements with violinist Aubree Oliverson, Marimbist Ji Su Jung, flutist Katie Althen, Grammy winner Judy Collins and many more internationally renowned musicians; Beethoven Symphony No. 9 with the Ridgefield Symphony; performances of a slew of contemporary works by Missy Mazzoli, Kevin Putz, Salvatore Di Vittorio, and more; and countless other exciting performances over the course of the season. After a critically acclaimed production is Donizetti’s l’Elisir d’amore, He begins a new Music Directorship with Opera Acadia, returning this summer for a production of La Traviata, and to the prestigious Charles Ives music festival as festival conductor.
